Rooster Sanctuary at Danzig’s Roost provides a safe forever home for misplaced, abandoned, or abused farm birds with a focus on roosters, while advocating strongly for a vegan lifestyle as the ultimate solution to ending the atrocities committed against all farmed animals. All residents are provided with loving nurture, safety, enrichment, and veterinary care for life.
We were founded in 2010, gained our 501 (c) 3 status in 2013 and have since rescued the lives of 4,000 animals 1,000 of them rescued from cockfighting seizures
We reside on 38 acres on the high plains of Colorado where we care for over 100 roosters, many hens, geese, ducks, peafowl, pigeons, turkeys, and emus. Rooster Sanctuary at Danzig’s Roost is a non profit 501 (c) 3 organization. We are an all volunteer run organization.
